  • Getting Comfortable on Snow – Skating, gliding, and balancing on flat terrain.

  • Learning to Control Speed & Direction – Using your heel edge.
  • Learning to Stop Safely – Using your heel edge.

  • Lift Riding 101 – Introduction to safe loading & unloading of the chairlift.

  • Depending on student progress, students may practice riding the chairlift and start learning basic heel- and toe-side turns.

  • Focus on Fun & Safety – Learn mountain awareness, build confidence, and enjoy your first day on snow.

WHAT PARENTS SHOULD KNOW:

  • Please be sure to arrive, at a MINIMUM, one hour early. This will ensure you have enough time to check in at the front desk to receive your lift ticket and get fitted with equipment. Lines and wait times may be long. You will not be eligible for a refund if you are late to your lesson.

  • Dress your child in warm, waterproof layers, gloves, and ski goggles or sunglasses. Helmets can be rented at the lodge for $15 and are highly encouraged. Goggles may be available for purchase at the lodge. Layering is important, and layers can always be removed if needed.

  • Instructors will guide the lesson; parents can watch from the sidelines but should not join on the snow.
