Welcome to Hitchcock Hike for Health Club, led by level three fitness instructor and avid mountain climber, snowshoer, hiker, and master gardener Colleen Leinen!

During this special edition meetup for ages 18+, participants will meet at Crescent Hill at Hitchcock and take to the slopes for a snowshoe adventure. Colleen will instruct participants on the basics of snowshoeing, including how snowshoes work, how to walk with snowshoes and poles, do's and don'ts, and snowshoe safety. Then, you'll head up and down the slopes as a group. This snowshoe hike is expected to be moderate to difficult, but participants can stay at the base area for an easier experience.

Please note: Snowshoes must never be worn on non-snow surfaces, as doing so can permanently damage equipment.

Please dress for the weather (layers are highly recommended) and wear appropriate hiking shoes or boots. Make sure to bring a reusable water container. Walking poles are highly recommended if you prefer them. Hike may go longer than time posted.
